Hi! I’m still here!
A friend started playing WoW recently and was asking me a buncha questions, so I thought, why not, let me resub for a month and see if I can help her out.
Turns out, I’ll probably stick around for a bit. Another friend’s been playing pretty consistently for a while, so between the two of them we were able to get the second friend’s Shadowmourne Blood Infusion taken care of, and I actually tanked some dungeons for the first time in, gosh, well over a decade. I think the last time I actually queued as tank was sometime in Cataclysm. I had attempted to get back into that during Warlords of Draenor with some coworkers, but that went nowhere.
Anyway, I picked up Midnight and have been going through its story. The glow-up Silvermoon and Eversong/Ghostlands got is gorgeous, and I should hit 90 relatively soon.
Will I make WoW my “main” game again? Who knows. I’m very much tempering my expectations for the next FF14 expansion, which will likely be announced at the North American Fanfest coming up very soon. I’m also open to going back to FFXI one day, but that’s probably a ways off.
One advantage playing WoW has is WoW is native on Mac. Yes, FF14 is too, but I started playing WoW more seriously back during Wrath because I had bought a Mac when a friend reminded me WoW ran on them.
We’ll see where things go over the next few months.
